IFNA Board Greeted by Prime Minister in Jamaica

The IFNA Board paid a special visit to the Prime Minister, Portia Simpson-Miller, whilst in Jamaica for their meeting in November.
A long-standing supporter of netball, she listened intently as Molly Rhone, President of IFNA, talked about the challenges that netball faces and the exciting prospects for the future of the sport. The President presented her with a framed IFNA photograph to congratulate her on her appointment as the first female Prime Minister for Jamaica, which she was delighted with and said she would hang pride of place in her office.
The Prime Minister spoke about her exciting plans for building world class sports facilities to meet the needs of the Jamaican sports teams and communities and was clearly committed to supporting to the Jamaican netball team, the Sunshine Girls, in their preparations for the World Championships.
